Rocco Guadagna, owner of Vision Lawn Care and Snow Plowing Inc., in Tonawanda, New York, has a young son who’s turning two. Guadagna wants to honor Rocco Jr.—who has been diagnosed with Down syndrome--with something more than the standard birthday fare, so he decided to start a tradition. Specifically, he’s going to give a free landscape makeover to the winner of a drawing that will take place on his son’s birthday.

“We just thought it would be really nice, in honor of children with Down syndrome, to do something beautiful, because they’re all beautiful,” said Guadagna. “We want to do this for many years to come, so that when he grows up, we can take him to all the houses, and show him all the beautiful landscapes that we did in his honor.”
