Equity firm CI Capital Partners, New York, New York, and tree and lawn care company SavATree, Bedford Hills, New York, recently announced that an affiliate of CI has acquired a majority interest in SavATree. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but the management team of the green industry company retains a considerable stake in the company.

SavATree has an “environmentally sensible approach” to tree, shrub and lawn care services, and has been maintaining residential, commercial and government properties for more than 30 years. They have 25 locations in 12 states.

Daniel van Starrenburg, CEO of SavATree since 1985, has expanded the company through organic growth and nearly a dozen acquisitions. “We are excited to form this partnership with CI Capital, whose experience executing buy and build strategies will help us accelerate the pace of our acquisitions,” he said.
