Police in Fremont, California, are looking for a suspect who carjacked a landscaper’s work truck.

The landscaper was getting his equipment ready to mow a lawn when a man approached him and asked for water. The landscaper gave him a bottle before turning his back to return to his work. A moment later, the man slapped the landscaper with a glove before climbing into the landscaper’s truck, where the two struggled.

The man managed to start the truck, using the keys left inside, and drove away. According to police, the landscaper was not hurt.

Fremont police have talked to area residents and reviewed surveillance-camera video from nearby homes, and are collecting information to help with the investigation.
