Landscapers will work through the summer so the field is ready for the fall.

Lawn Plus, West Alexandria, Ohio, is repairing a football field for free in Park Layne, Ohio, after it was vandalized last fall by a 17-year-old boy.

WDTN reported that Rodney Creech of Lawn Plus heard that the field was vandalized and wanted to help. The company is repairing the field for free and will work through the summer so the field is ready for the fall.

The field is used by the Park Layne Pee Wee Arrows, a football league for kids in grades one through six.

Landscapers cleared the field, added topsoil and seeding and applied fertilizer, Creech says. They’ll continue adding fertilizer and weed control and filling empty patches, according to WDTN.
