The drought conditions serve as a reminder to observe municipal watering restrictions during the summer.

The U.S. Drought Monitor, Lincoln, Nebraska, has reported that parts of the Texas counties of Dallas, Tarrant, Denton, Collin and Wise remain in moderate drought while most of the surrounding area is abnormally dry.

NBC DFW reported that the worsening drought conditions serve as a good reminder to observe municipal watering restrictions during summer.

The changes have come in the last month even though the Dallas-Forth Worth Metroplex remains about two inches above normal for rainfall due to a wet February, according to NBC DFW.
