Bobcat Company Raises Prices

The Bobcat Company has raised the prices of its power units, attachments and select loader options. Prices for models scheduled to become 2012 Interim Tier 4 compliant will increase by 5.25%. This is the lesser of two planned price increases for these models.

john Deere Partners with Honda

Deere & Company and Honda have agreed to sell Honda Power Equipment at John Deere dealerships. Beginning 2012, Honda walk-behind mowers, generators, tillers, water pumps, and snow blowers will be available at participating dealerships.

As part of the agreement, John Deere dealers will no longer market John Deere walk-behind mowers or snow blowers in the United States after 2012.

Customers will be able to service all their Honda Power products at John Deere dealers after the dealer is added to the Honda sales network. According to Deere & Company, it could take through 2013 for the program to be completely phased in.

Horizon Distributors Enters Mid-atlantic Market

Horizon Distributors, Inc., has announced its expansion into the Maryland and Virginia markets with the acquisition of the G.L. Cornell Company. Based in Gaithersburg, MD, G.L.

Cornell is a distributor of golf course equipment and irrigation products in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.

“We look forward to supporting and expanding the current product offerings, to include the full breadth of irrigation, landscape, specialty and professional lawn care equipment products currently available at all Horizon sales centers,” said Jim Ross, president, Horizon.

Horizon is a full-service distributor of landscape and irrigation products and a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Pool Corporation.
