A 72-year-old landscape worker recently drowned in a pool with a leaf blower strapped to his back. The Los Angeles Police Department reported that the body of Antonio Padilla was found in the pool of a home where he had been working.
The homeowner came home at night and noticed that the gardener’s truck was still parked at the residence. The homeowner checked with neighbors, and then called the family when the gardener could not be found. He was eventually found in the pool by one of the neighbors. Padilla was pulled from the pool with a leaf blower on his back.
Police do not suspect foul play. “It looks like a horrible accident, unfortunately,” said Lt. Brian Bixler, a watch commander of the Los Angeles Police Department.
