In April, a U.S. District Court in the Central District of California gave Unique Lighting Systems its third win in a series of patent lawsuits the company has brought against competitors. ABR Enterprises, Inc., is the latest to fall, now banned from selling its Base-C and Pontormo products.
“We are very pleased with the judgment against ABR,” said Chris Davey, senior marketing manager for Unique Lighting. He went on to say that they would continue to aggressively defend their intellectual property.
Unique Lighting currently holds fifteen patents related to their product line. Most of the patents are for their fixture designs, but they also include the design of their transformer and the method behind their equalizer hub.
Their previous victories in the past twelve months were against The Décor Group and Safe Circuits Inc.
