Briggs & Stratton Corporation has announced that it will be relocating its production of V-Twin Vanguard engines to its existing manufacturing facilities in Statesboro, Georgia, and Auburn, Alabama. Currently, the V-Twin Vanguard is being manufactured through a joint venture partnership in Japan.

Production of V-Twin Vanguard engines in the company’s U.S. plants is expected to be phased in sometime between mid-2018 and mid-2019. The increased manufacturing in North America is expected to create approximately 50 new jobs at each of the two facilities.

Briggs & Stratton Corporation designs, manufactures, and markets power generation, pressure washers, lawn and garden products, turf care and jobsite products. The company is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
