Those in their 70s and 80s cut their chances of premature death by 17 percent for every 30 minutes of daily activity, an article in The Sun News says.

As stated in the article, research proves that gentle activities such as watering your garden daily could drastically decrease the chances of an early death.

“We found light activity was enough to increase life expectancy, and it is a much more realistic aim for older people,” Dr. Barbara Jefferis, of University College London told The Sun. “Simply getting up and doing something is enough to improve your health.”
