Initial indications point to the 2018 show being the biggest yet.

Where were you last week? For a large portion of the industry, the answer was Louisville, Kentucky. That’s where GIE+Expo was held, Oct. 17-19. Sponsored by the National Association of Landscape Professionals, the Outdoor Power Equipment Institute and Professional Grounds Management Society, and held in conjunction with Hardscapes North America, this year’s convention included indoor and outdoor exhibitions, workshops and entertainment.

What seems to be the biggest draw each year is the equipment on display and ability to test it out on more than 20 acres of outdoor demonstration area.

Organizers are still tallying up the final numbers, but they anticipate it being a record breaking year.

An official statement from the GIE+Expo and HNA Media Office to Irrigation & Green Industry states. “While final attendee numbers aren’t available yet, every indication points to the 2018 show being bigger than ever on all fronts, according to show management. Participation from all segments of the industry was strong. Add to that the synergy that was generated by the new Wednesday format, as well as a record number of exhibits – both indoors and out – and GIE+Expo 2018 was a resounding success.”
