Minneapolis-based Keystone Hardscapes won three 2018 Hardscapes North America awards and four honorable mentions in 2018, according to a press release published in BusinessWire.
The annual awards are given out at HNA, a trade show produced by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute, held every October in conjunction with the Green Industry & Equipment Expo in Louisville, Kentucky. The awards recognize excellence in residential and commercial walkways, patios, pool decks, outdoor kitchens, driveways, commercial plazas, streets and other projects built using concrete pavers, segmental retaining wall products and other hardscape products.
To qualify for this year’s awards, the projects had to have been completed between November 1, 2014 and June 30, 2018.
The awards are presented by the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute. This year, 155 projects, a record number, were submitted for awards consideration.
Keystone won in the category Concrete Paver – Commercial, more than 15,000 square feet, for the Southlands Mall project in Aurora, Colorado. The company’s Verona paver product was used. The contractor was Continental Hardscape Systems LLC, and the designer was Studio Insite.
The company also won in the category Concrete Paver – Residential, more than 3,000 square feet, for the Truckee Residence, El Dorado Hills, California. The Venetian Stone tumbled paver product was used. The contractor was LR Landscaping and the designer, Tanna Johns.
And, in the category Segmental Retaining Walls – Commercial, for the Alta Pinehurst project in Lakewood, Colorado. The product used was Keystone Compac-Regency wall. The contractor was Slaton Brothers, and the designer, Wood Partners.
The company also won four Honorable Mentions:
·Concrete Paver – Commercial, more than 15,000 square feet, for the Levy Park project in Houston, Texas. The products used were its Verona, CityStone and Holland Stone pavers. The contractor was B&D Contractors Inc., and the designer, OJB Landscape Architects.
·Segmental Retaining Walls – Commercial, for the Falls Event Center, Littleton, Colorado. The product used was the Regal Stone Pro 3-piece wall system. The contractor was the Miller Wall Company, and the designer was Marvin Miller.
·Concrete Paver – Permeable Residential/Commercial, for the Greeney Residence, Portland, Oregon. The product used was Keystone’s Eco-Panorama-Demi permeable pavers. The contractor was Sequoia Stonescapes, and the designer, Drake’s 7 Dees Landscaping.
·Outdoor Living Features – Residential/Commercial, for the Nelson Residence, Lovettsville, Virginia. The product used was the company’s Slate Stone pavers. The contractor was Artisan Exteriors, the designer, Joey Hafner.
