Excel Industries, Hesston, Kansas, the manufacturer of zero-turn mowers and utility vehicles under the Hustler Turf and BigDog brands, held a groundbreaking ceremony recently to begin construction on a multimillion-dollar facility expansion, according to a press release.

The expansion will provide additional manufacturing space to support new product introductions as well as an upgrade to the existing paint system. The project is slated to be completed by the end of the third quarter of 2019.

“The facility expansion and paint system upgrade will help position us for future growth,” said Brent E. Edmisten, vice president of operations, SCM, and engineering. “This investment will support our team’s efforts in providing world-class products to our global customers.”

Conco Construction has been selected to be the prime contractor.
