The company is donating money toward a woman’s final expenses.

A Louisiana lawn care company is going to be working for free for a while, donating 100 percent of its profits to a good cause. A story reported by Bess Casserleigh on WBRZ-TV Baton Rouge and posted to the station’s website says that Brent's Lawn Care and Maintenance in Walker will perform its usual services, but any money it makes through March 31st will go toward paying a woman’s final expenses.

The woman, 23-year-old Haley Warner, suffers from a serious heart condition.

“Two years ago, she had gotten sick and she had two open heart surgeries and she was lucky to survive that,” Destiny Allen told Casserleigh. “Here we are two years later, and her aortic valve is separating from her heart. At this point there is nothing more that can be done for her.”

The family that owns Brent’s has known Warner since childhood. They wanted to help in whatever way they could and decided to use the business to raise money for her family.

“The profits will go to her family for the expenses, however they choose to lay her to rest when the time comes,” Allen told the reporter.

A fundraiser for Warner is planned as well.
