Residents in The Villages, Florida, say one home in their neighborhood has taken Florida-friendly landscaping too far, according to an article on Villages-News.com.
The landscape style known for the use of low-maintenance plants and environmentally sustainable practices is growing in popularity for its water savings and low maintenance, but one home on Darwin Terrace in the village of Amelia has gone too far, according to neighbors.
One neighbor, Craig Bonifant, likened it to a jungle and even protested the property outside a community development board meeting in 2017. Two years later, he says, nothing has changed. In fact, it’s gotten worse.
Two other homes were found in August to be out of compliance compliance after public hearings before the Village Center Community Development District Board of Supervisors.
