Registration for the Texas A&M Turfgrass and Landscape Field Day is now open. The field day will be held Oct. 9 in College Station at the Scotts-MiracleGro Lawn and Garden Research Facility.
“This field day offers an opportunity for members of industry and the general public to see and hear about current research activities in the Texas A&M turfgrass program including collaborative efforts with engineering, water quality, plant pathology and soil science,” says Ben Wherley, Ph.D., Texas A&M AgriLife Research turfgrass ecologist, College Station.
Becky Grubbs-Bowling, Ph.D., Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service turfgrass specialist, College Station, said attendees will have the opportunity to earn continuing education units, visit the trade show to see new industry products and enjoy lunch alongside fellow turf professionals and enthusiasts.
The program will begin with registration from 7:45-8:30 a.m. The concurrent programs and field tours will run from 8:45 a.m. to noon, followed by lunch. Preregistration is required for lunch. The fee is $55 if registered by Sept. 27 and $65 thereafter and at the door.
