New this year, GIE+Expo attendees can enjoy free visits to two popular downtown museums Tuesday and Thursday between 5-8 p.m. Both are walkable from many hotels as well as Fourth Street Live!
Tuesday, Oct. 15: Frazier History Museum, 5-8 p.m.
The Frazier History Museum showcases the history of the United States from early settlement through colonization, the Revolutionary War, Civil War and the multi-faceted origins of America’s cultural landscape. As the official starting point of the Kentucky Bourbon Trail and home to the trail’s Welcome Center, the museum is known for The Spirit of Kentucky exhibit.
Thursday, Oct. 17: Muhammad Ali Center, 5-8 p.m.
This award-winning interactive attraction, located on downtown’s riverfront, gives visitors an inside look at Muhammad Ali’s journey toward greatness in the boxing ring and on the world’s stage. A visit to the Center is not just an experience, but a journey into the heart of a champion. Three levels of exhibits and galleries invite visitors to explore Muhammad Ali’s legendary life, as well as to reflect upon one’s own individual values, inner strength, character and what makes you the greatest person you can be.
