Pioneer Landscape Centers, Highlands Ranch, Colorado, a distributor of landscaping and hardscaping materials in the western U.S., has announced the sale of its civil construction division to Wildcat Construction, Wichita, Kansas.

“The divestiture of our civil construction unit allows us to better focus our capital, capabilities and growth strategy on our core retail, commercial and industrial landscape markets,” says Mark Adamson, CEO of Pioneer Landscape Centers. “A key attraction of the civil division are the employees who I’d like to thank for their excellent service to Pioneer over many years. We wish them well as they complete their transition to Wildcat.”

Prior to its sale, Pioneer’s civil construction division performed a variety of general contracting projects for federal, state, county and private-party customers in Colorado, including CDOT, drainage way remediation, trails and parks, infrastructure and golf courses.

“We’re excited to add an established and respected construction brand to our portfolio of companies in Colorado, Kansas and Oklahoma, and look forward to working closely with Pioneer to seamlessly transition civil construction customers and employees to Wildcat,” says Wildcat Construction President Roger McClellan.
