The annual trade show was canceled but the education program will be held online.

North Carolina Nursery & Landscape Association, Raleigh, North Carolina, has canceled Marketplace at Green & Growin’ 21 due to the concerns about protecting the health, safety and welfare of exhibitors, attendees and supporting personnel.

The decision following NCNLA’s choice to go virtual with the three-day education conference. The program will be held Jan. 11-13, 2021, with general education sessions covering topics for growers, buyers, managers, landscapers and other industry professionals. Registered education attendees will be able to view the online sessions for three months after the event.

The two-day Marketplace trade show typically held during the conference attracts nearly 400 exhibitors and more than 2,000 attendees from across the country.

“The NCNLA board of directors was hopeful that the public health environment would improve, but that hasn’t been the case,” says Hugh Crump, NCNLA President. “Last week, we surveyed our exhibitors and attendees, and their feedback was critical to our ability to make an informed decision. We’re disappointed but feel that we made the right choice based on the information we gathered.”

Early bird registration for the Virtual Education program opens Nov. 16.
