Mason is promoted from his most recent role as executive vice president of U.S. sales.

Weathermatic, a provider of water-conserving technology based in Garland, Texas, promoted Lex Mason to president. Lex Mason is its fourth president, following Mike Mason, L.O. Snoddy and founder Max Snoddy. The promotion was ratified through a unanimous vote by the board of directors led by board chair Malcolm Morris.

Mason will be responsible for the strategic leadership of product management, engineering, software development, sales and marketing and technical services.

“I am thrilled for Lex to put his stamp on the entire organization in the same way he has so successfully integrated technology, data and accountability with our sales team that enabled growth even during the pandemic,” says CEO Mike Mason. “Building on the pioneering legacy of Weathermatic has been my driving mission since day one, and I couldn’t be more optimistic about the state of the business and where Lex will take it into the future.”

Lex Mason joined Weathermatic in July 2015 and served most recently as executive vice president of U.S. sales. Prior to joining Weathermatic, he interned for four years as he earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from Baylor University. Mason has held various leadership positions within the company including South Texas regional sales manager and vice president of strategic accounts. As founder of the Premier Partner Program, Mason was instrumental in development of the as-a-service sales and marketing strategy.

“I am honored to take on this role and advance what my father and team have spent the last 26 years building,” says Mason. “This incredible industry has supported me and my family throughout my entire life, and I am excited to be a part of the next generation of leadership.”

Weathermatic recently celebrated its 75th year of operation.
