First price increase in two years due to shortages in raw materials and finished goods.

Dawn Industries, Arvada, Colorado, will increase prices on all items in its catalog by 7% beginning May 1, according to a letter sent to customers.

While the company has not raised prices in more than two years, prices from suppliers have continued to increase, covering materials such as cardboard and plastic resins as well as transportation costs and labor, according to the letter. Shortages in raw materials and finished goods as well as delays in deliveries and increased transportation costs are some of the main drivers for the rising price.
