Company plans to create 58 new jobs over the next three years.

Robin Autopilot, McKinney, Texas, a robotic mowing technology company, will be consolidating its corporate headquarters with its recently acquired franchise business, North Carolina-based Mowbot, and relocating to McKinney, according to an article by North Texas e-News.

With a grant from the McKinney Economic Development Corporation’s Innovation Fund, the company plans to relocate 17 positions and create 58 new jobs over the next three years, bringing their total number of employees to 75, with an average salary of $90,000. The positions include back office, sales, software development and engineers.

The robotic lawn mower market is poised to grow by $697 million over the next five years with a compound annual growth rate of more than 15% to reach a market valued at more than $1 billion, according to Technavio, a market research organization.

Robin’s new headquarters initially will occupy 10,000 square feet in McKinney, with options for expansion. Robin was represented throughout the selection process by CBRE, led by Rene Castillo, and Jackson Walker, led by Luke Franz.
