The conference is hosting seven classes eligible for pesticide recertification credit hours.

The 2021 Farwest Show, to be held August 18-20, at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, is offering seven classes that are eligible for pesticide recertification credit hours as part of its continuing education program.

Experts from across the industry will cover various topics to include plant pests and diseases, bio-controls, equipment calibration and pesticide safety for bees. Classes will be delivered in English with Spanish translation available, or Spanish language.

Two different pesticide class pass options are available for attendees. The three-day pesticide class pass offers six hours of recertification credit taught in English with Spanish translation, plus a one-hour Spanish-only session. Purchasers will get an expo pass to the show floor that is good all three days. The one-day pass offers access to all pesticide classes on your day of choice . Two hours of credit are available on Thursday and Friday, and three hours of credit are available on Wednesday. Purchasers will get a three-day expo pass as part of the deal.

Each pesticide pass holder will be able to access the Spanish-only seminars.

All seven pesticide recertification classes will be eligible for continuing education units from Oregon, California, Washington and Idaho state agricultural organizations.

For landscape design professionals, many of the seminars are also eligible for recertification by the Association of Professional Landscape Designers and Oregon Landscape Contractor Board. For arborists and other tree-care professionals, several seminars are eligible for credits from the International Society of Arboriculture.
