The Water Zone radio show, sponsored by The Toro Company, Bloomington, Minnesota, and with offices in Riverside, California, was recently presented with a certificate of recognition for its continued educational and public outreach to both the citizens and water agencies within San Bernardino County, California, to promote water use efficiency and water smart technologies.

Show co-hosts Rob Starr and Chris Davey have assisted the county’s various water agencies by informing their constituents about California’s current water issues and pending legislation. The radio show features a variety of guests, including representatives from water agencies, scientists and irrigation technologists, as well as both state and federal legislators.

“We want the public to hear directly from the people who make the decisions, and those who can help make sense of the many water issues that are affecting all of us,” says Starr.

The Water Zone radio show can be heard Thursday evenings at 6 p.m. PT on NBC News Radio stations KCAA 1050 AM, 102.3 FM and 106.5 FM. Podcasts of the show can also be found here.
