They'll be available on select Isuzu N-Series trucks.
Isuzu Commercial Truck of America Inc., Anaheim, California, announced the availability of three new road-ready bodies for select Isuzu N-Series trucks, built by Knapheide, Quincy, Illinois, a supplier of commercial vehicle solutions. The KUVcc dump and landscaper models will offer new flexibility and practicality to a wide range of applications.
The 11-foot KUVcc utility body will be available on 109-inch wheelbase Isuzu NPR and NPR-HD gasoline-powered trucks.
Standard features include: a white-painted interior and exterior; a 20-gauge galvanized and annealed steel body; eight exterior compartments (four per side) with adjustable shelving; two fixed interior shelves per side; two conduit/pipe doors; two interior dome lights; a 9-inch by 30-inch glass window in the front bulkhead that aligns with the cab’s rear window; master locks on both sides and a Knapliner-coated step bumper.
Optional equipment includes a keyless locking system, LED compartment lighting, a side-mounted ladder rack and a drop-down single-ladder rack.
The 11-foot Knapheide dump body will be available on 109-inch wheelbase Isuzu N-Series standard-cab trucks with gross vehicle weights of 14,500 pounds and higher.
Standard features include: cross-member-less construction with fully-boxed long sills made of seven-gauge hot-rolled, commercial-quality steel that run the entire length of the floor to help prevent debris from collecting; an electro-deposition prime-paint system with a Knapheide water-based undercoating for superior corrosion resistance; a quarter-cab protector constructed of 10-gauge high-tensile-strength steel; an electric hoist powered by a 12-volt pump with power-up and power-down; a double-acting tailgate that accommodates drop-down, pickup-style and spreader applications; a quick-release tailgate with a one-handed lever for easy drop-down and a self-cleaning sloped design; a Class 5 hitch; a seven-way flat trailer plug; an ICC bumper and mud flaps.
Options include red paint, a window shade tarp kit and polyboard side extensions.
The 11-foot Knapheide landscaper body will be available on Isuzu N-Series standard-cab models with 109- and 132.5-inch wheelbases with GVWRs of 14,500 pounds and higher. It will also be available for 150- and 176-inch wheelbase N-Series crew-cab models with 14,500-pound GVWRs and higher.
Standard equipment includes: three doors for versatility in loading and dumping; a 50-inch wide curbside opening for pallets, balled trees, shrubs, bagged materials and more, with a side access door that can be locked in the open position; two 270-degree swing-out rear gates equipped with heavy-duty hinges that are also lockable in the open position; removable 40-inch-tall side panels constructed of 14-gauge steel and reinforced by 13-gauge steel stakes; LED clearance and marker lights and an electric hoist powered by a 12-volt pump with power-up and power-down.
The body was coated using an electrodeposition prime-paint system. A Knapheide water-based undercoating was included for superior corrosion resistance. A side step, grab handle, ICC bumper and mud flaps complete the package.
Options include: a back pack, featuring a street-side compartment with four hooks plus two fixed shelves and curbside pullout bin (available on 132.5-inch Standard Cab and 176-inch Crew Cab wheelbases only); a cab protector, a landscaper tarp, a Class 5 hitch and a seven-way trailer plug.
