A 30-day extension is offered to policyholders whose businesses were affected by wildfires.

The California State Compensation Insurance Fund, headquartered in San Francisco, is offering a 30-day credit extension to policyholders who are directly affected by the wildfires currently raging across the state. Also known as the “State Fund,” this is the agency that administers California’s worker compensation insurance policies.

If your California contracting business has been affected by any of the wildfires, you can request the extension by calling State Fund’s Customer Service Center at (888) 782-8338 or through your insurance broker.

State Fund’s website offers information about evacuation safety and emergency planning. For more tips, see the California Office of Emergency Services website.
