The equipment manufacturer has been a big supporter of the E3 program since its inception.

The Irrigation Association, Fairfax, Virginia, has announced that The Toro Company, Bloomington, Minnesota, will be a lead sponsor of its 2020 Irrigation E3 program. Through this sponsorship, E3 winners will receive education and travel awards to attend the IA’s 2020 Irrigation Show and Education Week in San Antonio, Texas.

The E3 program provides students and faculty with exposure to, experience in and education about the irrigation industry by visiting the trade show floor at the annual Irrigation Show. There, they will have the opportunity to take education classes, network with industry professionals and discover all that the irrigation industry has to offer.

The Toro Company has been a huge part of the E3 program’s success since its inception in 2012. There were six winners that first year; in 2019, the program grew to include 34 participants.

“The E3 program awards the brightest students and faculty who are interested in irrigation,” says IA Workforce Development Director Janine Sparrowgrove. “We are thankful that The Toro Company and other sponsors continue their support to build enthusiasm in the industry and ensure the success of the IA’s efforts to promote careers in irrigation.”

The Toro Company presented the IA with a $20,000 check for the 2020 E3 program on the exhibition hall floor in Las Vegas, where the 2019 E3 program winners attended the 2019 Irrigation Show and Education Week. Thirty-two students and two educators from colleges and universities around the country were selected as winners of this year’s program.
